Seems like the perceived fragility of a fin keel like this hitting ledges is being conflated with fragility in offshore sailing outside of helicopter range. Hundreds of boats each year with keels more extreme than this one immerse themselves in the Southern Ocean and other very tough sailing places and drive those boats to their limits without their keels falling off (mostly).
And that keel doesn't even look very extreme to me - I see lots like that, and even more extreme, in the boatyards around the Caribe, so someone is managing to sail them without breaking them off.
