The nearest True Value, Home Depot, Lowes or Radio Shack would carry an extra electric heater and a 250w + soldering iron (or micro torch with soldering tip). Pioneers didn't have that.

BTW a 300-500w quartz halogen work light or quartz reflective heater placed within a foot or two of the work surface works well if you need to cure epoxy outdoors when it's cold. Space heaters tend let the heat rise by convection, but radiant heat warms the surface.
