If you want it to work well, no grommets in the sail -- ball-bearing turning blocks instead. For each reef point: One on the leech and one on the luff. Reef lines should run as follows: From the boom aft (tied) up through the leech block, down through a cheek block aft on the boom, forward to another cheek block near the gooseneck, up through the luff block, down to a turning block at the mast base and led back to the cockpit. Or you can control it from the mast. (My preference would be cockpit controls)
Edit: Given that your mainsail hoisting is controlled from the mast, of course you'll want your jiffy reefing controlled there too.
