Did you want to run the lines back to the cockpit?

You can have a 2:1 purchase by running the line up from the base of the mast, through the reef cringle(s) on the luff; and then down again to the base of the mast. If you run the lines back to the cockpit, that will work also; or you can use the multipart block.

I like Pauls system if you don't run the lines back. It's simple and unobtrusive.

The reeffing lines to the clew(s) have more issues. ARE YOU PLANNING ON RUNNING THE LINES TO THE COCKPIT?
