I have a modern triple block at the end of my boom. It works well but looks totally out of place. At the deck I have the original Merriman blocks at each corner of the cockpit with a dinghy type block and jam cleat in the center. It works ok close hauled but the spring loaded block lays over and rubs against the jamb cleat off the wind. I'm still looking for something that works better. This is my friend's 1925 Charles Mower sloop. The three individual blocks at the boom end is interesting.
