I'm so tired of being upgraded and totally redesigned.

It's all about forcing you to buy all new stuff nothing more. Management these days has a very short sighted view when it comes to how they treat customers.

At this point we should just be considering ourselves lucky that we're allowed to use radio's at all without paying for some whiz bang digital service brought to you by some all time favorite like Comcast.

I would suggest that everyone here get an amateur radio license and all the other radio licenses they can before we loose the right to use the public airwaves.

My solution is to stop buying things that aren't absolutely essential and when I get fooled into buying some cr@p I go right to Amazon to give it a poor review. I don't expect it to change anything since corporations seem to think they are doing us the favor and we just don't know what's good for us. But I'll still keep doing it while simultaneously cutting down on all non essential purchases.
