I have a Tek scope that was made in Malaysia. Got it for $50 at a hamfest. Works good - for now.

Was just given one broken. Gave it to a ham club member that is a retired Tek engineer. He opened it up and could not fix it. Said it was full of custom ICs and didn't have a clue as to how to proceed. Yes, we have become a throw away society.
