First how big should the starting battery be. I have a 2GM20F engine, only 13HP, and I'd like a separate starting battery.

Second, do you put a switch in line with this starting battery? We are talking starting current here, so it strikes me that a switch is unlikely.

For charging... a combiner no doubt.
