My boat didn't have a switch between the starting battery so I put one in.
Yeah it does make sense.

As long as we're talking starting batteries, I have a question regarding the use of gels...
If you had a separate take-off on the alternator or a dedicated alternator
How about a solenoid to tie the house and cranking batteries together?

Well, I know that battery SHOULD crank my engine, no problem...
