On our boat....
In Response To: Gene ()

the charging circuit is on the battery side of the switches. So, no matter what I do, I can not shut down the alternator to battery connection with the switches I installed. The auto-combiner is also on the same side so any charging source goes to both the house bank (3 @ group 31 AGMs) and the starting (1 @ group 27 AGM) battery. Ya, I know my start battery is larger than needed, but I got a deal on it. When I was setting everything up, I was worried about toasting the diodes and it was a Zap Stop or this set-up.

My 110 V AC charger has an on/off switch. And I can just unplug the solar panels if I need to shut down that power source for some reason.

I am working on a plan to put some sort of plug in the cockpit so I can connect another battery (or 2) for use or charging. We have 2 @ 25 Ah AGMs we carry for our hooka dive gear and it would be nice to just connect and not have to run a separate charge controller for them. Up until now, we disconnect one or 2 of our solar panels and run the feed into a separate (spare) controller.
