• So, working on the galley... is it a plumbing issue or marine issue?
  • The bedding compound is the bedding compound
  • Plumbing, I'm afraid, and I don't know of any that is well designed for this.
    • I went to the marine store and they promptly sent me to the plumbing store.
      • Fantastic. You have a threaded adaptor that fits the basket threads?
        • The ABS is 1 1/2 inch... the PVC reducer is 3/4 inch.
          • Check with a real plumbing supply house, Gene.
  • I know Defender and West Marine stock...
    • The only problem is most of that is chrome plated plastic.
  • Just be sure you do a good job, Gene, the LOOSE CANON was found on the bottom of Camden Harbor
  • Full size kitchen sink drains...
    • Good to know. I have the large drain basket on my galley sink.
      • I took the ice box drain off the thru hull
        • My drain goes to a closed sump-tank, Max.
    • I went to a local good plumbing store here...
  • Put a new drain in mine a few years back.

      • I got that feeling even more today when measuring some parts...
        • A "bar sink" has a 2" opening

  • Marine plumbing is simple.
    • Your's was probably schedule 40 or 80, I think Gene is talking thin wall tailpiece pvc.
      • That is exactly what I am talking about...
    • Dave, the only rigid connections are between the two sink drains..
      • Turns out the ABS stuff just won't fit.
