I tried to dry fit the pieces together and sure enough, not enough room... so onto a different tack. one involving Bronze Tees and some bronze tail pieces... depending on the sink drain I finally decide upon... which is based on the sink holes. The sink drains I have now are not good stainless steel, so soon will be just as rusty as what I had. And the 1 1/2 inch threaded bottom requires more of adapter body than I can fit... at least with what I have found so far.

The search continues... now, as to that lathe... GRIN
