There is just not that much to this carb...
In Response To: Floats get pinholes in them ()

It is more a series of balanced air ports... with no adjustments... there is no idle screw and only two jets, one being the needle valve with the float. It is built more like a throttle body than a performance carb.

The idle set screw is just an adjustment on the throttle coupling.

The float is made of plastic... hard to believe it can get pin holes in two years of use.

The motor starts fine, if the throttle is open a bit more than usual, and the choke is partially out (flap somewhat closed). It runs well, but doesn't behave at low RPMs... I am thinking the needle valve is a bit gummy... Beyond that, there just isn't much more to this thing.

I have a similar plastic carb on my lawnmower... there is nothing to it... it sure ain't no double barreled Holley... in both cases there isn't even a squirt jet... all the work is done by venturi draw. I suppose for tiny engines this works just fine... think of the carb on a small model airplane... that's about it.
