Gene, get a can of spray break cleaner with the little

red tube. You can use electrical contact cleaner or carburetor cleaner but make sure that whatever you use has the red tube. Generally speaking, disassemble the corroborator completely remembering where the needle valve is set. Like someone said prior, screw the valve in until it just stops remembering the number of turns. When reassembling screw the valve in and then count the turns going out to the set point. Take the can with the tube and blow every orifice out. Take the low idle jet and blow it out as well. Hold the jet up to the sky and when you look through it you should see an exactly perfectly round hole. If the hole is not completely round you have something stuck in the jet. Replace the jet and do the same to the high speed jet (if it has one). I doubt the float is bad. More likely the valve hanging from it got bumped and the adjustment is off. If you have a new one one us it because it's factory set. You can reset the old one but it's a bit of an art and not worth the trouble if you have a new one. Look on line and see what the valve setting is and start at that point and fine tune form there after it's running. Install an inline gas filter between the tank and and the carburetor and you should be fine.
