the idle is not right... it just won't throttle down and hold idle. I can get the engine to slow down... so it isn't any sort of speed adjustment... but it just chugs and dies while nearing idle speed.
Starts beautifully... short quick pull and it is off and running... far better than before. It just won't hold idle.
I used acetone to clean the ports... on Q tips, after removing the jets. Tiny bit of buildup. Then I ran guitar strings (E) through the jets to ensure they were good and clear and sighted through those to ensure they were clean.
So starting is now easier, reving is quite smooth... but it just won't keep running at low RPMs. Just sputters and dies.
I'm going to do an oil change tomorrow... just to ensure the oil is good and at the proper level.
I could have just taken it to the shop... but like all the other things on my boat (or tender)... I want to understand what is happening. (I'm stubborn that way...)
