It is just the fuel problem. FIND ethanol free gas and buy 10 gallons. It will last forever.

My nissan still runs fine if the fuel is right. The ethanol will swell any rubber in the system. Even the fuel line will come apart inside slowly and it will plug the carb. There are new fuel lines that are more resistant to this. Remember that, even if you run the carb dry, the fuel line still has rubber eating ethanol in it.

Every cruising sailor that uses a dinghy needs to know how to clean the fuel system. Farther afield, like the Bahamas, I don't think there is ethanol.
