I just got through replacing the float jet, and it was a bit more of a complex piece that I initially thought... a plunger within a small plunger... and there was one more jet than I thought. I went ahead and replaced the float... since I had it anyway.
Nothing on this carb on youtube... thanks anyway... guess I should have made a movie.
Test run it in a bit.

- Hopefully that was a high E, not a low E string

- Check your gasket.
- Having somewhat the same trouble-check your fuel pump. May not be it, but worth checking
