Have a friend with a Yamaha that seems trouble free. Another buddy bought a yamaha 2 stroke in Nassau and loves it. My old outboard was a Merc 9.9 2 stroke, ran like new for over 12 years.

- Check your gasket.
- Having somewhat the same trouble-check your fuel pump. May not be it, but worth checking
