I only have experience setting up one AIS transceiver, but the setup includes antenna offset parameters. It wants to know LOA, beam, how far aft and to the side, and which side the antenna is mounted.

But your point is well taken, Jeremy, and one never knows for sure how someone else's unit is set up.
