Mast is carbon fibre, deck stepped
Boat is a fairly heavy, very solid, aluminium one, with no signs of deformation, corrosion etc.

Mast bottom is like new, and the way it sits in a "pot" on deck it cannot move, other than rotating slightly fore-and-aft according to the rake. Base is rounded a bit to allow this.
