That area sounds real good to us - I have engaged in the housing debate here on CSBB a little more than usual - since housing used to be my profession. But after 7 years of full time live aboard life - the idea of a little shack to put my stuff in up in the mountains of New Mexico sound really good - at least for a few months every year. What we have found is that the off season can be a bit brutal for living aboard - we could have sailed off to someplace where the weather is OK - like on the other side of the equator - but that is a little far for us.

We plan to get the boat to Shelter Bay and cruise out of there for a couple of years - lots to see in the San Blass - reports suggest it is one of the top 10 cruising destinations in the world - along with the Sea of Cortez and the Puget Sound area north to Alaska.

Steve says you won't sell your boat - he left this morning for points south - lots of time and energy invested there Dan - and its always cheeper to keep her than start over.
