usually affects former bureaucrats who step out of their comfort zone and quickly retreat to an electric tether in order to lecture others on "how to do it".

They are so sensitive to their achievements (always quietly questioning if they actually have done something with their lives after wasting their best years in a meaningless job) that they can't recognize when their legs are being pulled because their chests are too puffed up. It's pretty sad. If they weren't such know it alls, they would deserve some pity.
