That would mean that Jon E is not a cruiser.

After all, he just cruises in the winter and he always comes home.

We just started to commute cruise last year ( after 4 years full time ). So far every time we've left the boat to come home it's from a different place. (We left San Diego 11/07 and came home from PV. Came back to the boat and came home from Shelter Bay in Panama. Came back to the boat and 4 months later came back from Bocas Del Toro) Next time it will probably be Cartagena. I think to be called a cruiser you need to continue to change your reference. Explore new places and of course be at sea.

I'm reading the boat for the Admiral's arrival next week. Before we leave the boat again in February, we will have put a few thousand miles under the keel. Does that mean we're not cruisers?

The Admiral doesn't even use the word 'cruiser' when she refers to our lifestyle. She likes the word the locals use, 'Yachitista' or 'Yachty'. I'd have to agree.
