It is in the eyes of the beholder, that's for sure. But IMHO one thing that is not cruising is the new thing called 'commuter cruising." That is parking your boat in a marina far away and taking a seasonal vacation on your boat. I would say one definition of cruising starts with making your boat your home and not having a regular berth or land home. Therefore some movement becomes part of the cruising life. And thus, living in a marina long term, no matter where, is not cruising. That would be living in Mexico for example, sorta like taking an apartment in La Paz, located in the marina. Not that there is anything wrong with it, as Seinfeld would say.
