I'm thinking of putting my XYZ anchor in a locker for a backup and putting another CQR like anchor on the bow. Right now I'm favoring the Spade or the Supreme. As to your comment on CQR's dragging that can be operator error as well as the anchor. I've witnessed two Rocna's drag in 35 kts of wind or so. One in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas, and the other in White Sound, Green Turtle, Abaco's. A friend of mine dragged his Rocna across the bottom in Great Guana, Abacos but to be fair most anchors wouldn't have set there. Maybe a large fisherman could have punched through the bottom.
I'm not thinking of any of this as an argument. Simply a search for the truth. Too, I don't really consider this a debate. There is no winning and loosing in my book. I remmber in school often hearing the adage: Arguing is an exchange of ingnorance; discussions and exchange of knowledge.
And like screws or bolts, there isn't any that will do all the jobs.

ps I'm looking for the video or the Rocna online. If I come across it I'll post the link. BTW it was made by Rocna; not Westmarine. West simple shows it.
