The Spade is similar in that it is a scoop type anchor but the tip is weighted and filled with lead making it have a thick 3D cross section. Still an excellent anchor but not quite as reliable a setter in hard bottoms as my Manson or Rocna.

This is a real pic of a Spade I saw one day on the bow of a very expensive boat. The guy assembled it UPSIDE DOWN!!!! I politely mentioned to him that it goes together the other way... Doh' !!!!
