Having built and used a two part dink, and having had 2 inflatables, and now (since 1996) a PB, I can live with the PB much better than the other options.

That's not to say the PB does not have some down sides, it does. It's just that they are much easier for us to live with than the others. As a matter of fact, our current one is about dead. Late last year the area where the aft transom and bottom seam meet is starting to leak. Also, it has developed a small split (about 1 inch long) at the bow. And the sun has beat the heck out of the sides. So we are planning on getting another one soon. I think next time I will cover it more when it's on the side. I think that would have made it last at least a year or two more.
