My boat came with automatic electric bilge pumps for the main hull, and a cockpit-locker-mounted manual hand pump. The hand-pump is plumbed to an above-water discharge through-hull, and it has a long pickup hose attached that is coiled in the locker. The pickup hose can reach any low point in the main hull and the amas (floats) if necessary.
