In my case it would mean running awthartships...
In Response To: Icebox drain ()

which is difficult... everything runs fore and aft, (under or behind the furniture); all the cross connections are done aft, at or behind the engine compartment.

The head and icebox are both forward and nearly across from each other. The shower sump is not a bad idea, but much too hard to reach from the galley.

In later boat models, they simply provide a small manual pump from the icebox and the drain goes into the galley sink. Since my current drain is right below the sink, all I need do is add the small manual pump and a small spout into the sink. Not really that big of an issue... but finding that drain did answer why things were "always wet" in certain conditions.

In the last very heavy rains, I gained about 1 1/2 inches of water in the bottom of the bilge... I want to also know by what paths that water comes in. My mast is deck stepped, so that is not a likely path, but there are wire runs that do go down the mast into the cabin... I want to ensure they are as "tight" as possible, and make sure the mast has a way to drain. The bilge is quite deep... just about 3 feet... I want to get it as dry as possible and keep it that way.
