The description by Craig is similar to what I have... a glassed in hose that passes through the stringers, under the Yanmar, through narrow accesses to the lazerette to a manual Guzzler 500.

I want to add an automatic pump, but there is no good route out (at least I have not found one) to run a hose. Snaking power is not a problem.

The idea to use the existing hose to the existing thru hull for an automatic pump is not bad... then take the manual and put a coil of hose on it for when and if needed... sounds like a workable plan.

So far the only time I seem to take on water is during rain... and I know the portlight seals need replacing. Also I just discovered the icebox drain goes right to the bilge... yet another thing I need to take care of.
