Okay, I know that's not possible.
I have seen various ways of getting solar panel acreage. There's the big array on an arch over the stern.
There are the swing-up ones on the rail.
They both get the job done and maybe I'll end up there.
Nigel Calder built a permanent bimini and stuck 340 watts of 'em on top. I'm not ready to give up seeing the sails when I want to.
I might look into a mounting scheme for panels just above the dodger, but not enough acres and not so pretty.
There are some walkable ones that are low output.
I'm hoping to find some that are thin enough but with reasonable output that they could be joined side to side and then stacked below in bad weather. That way, they could be lashed down in various locations, even draped on top of dodger/bimini canvas in settled conditions. That simply is not possible with the ones that have honking big aluminum frames around them.
Any ideas or suggestions?
