Ya know ...

... is it a big deal to go ask the boater to turn it off at night and run it only during the day. Nicely. You might be surprised. And while you're at it, ask every boater with a wind generator to shut it down while you're in the anchorage. And then stop by every sailboat owner who runs their engine for an hour or two to charge batteries or keep the frig cold to turn off their engines too. And the trawlers to turn off their TV's and generators. Maybe even stop by the boats who have children and ask them to keep it down. And you may as well ask the classic, old good looking wooden ketch to take down their signal flags while you're at it.

Geez. It's a big nasty world out there, with lots of mean people. Have a rum drink and chill, dude.

We don't run our Honda very often, but when we do, I make sure I'm well away from other folks and I only run it during the mid day hours. I'm very aware of my neighbors, we are respectful. If you don't want to hear or see this stuff then go someplace where you will be all by yourself. Otherwise be prepared to be unhappy ... sounds like you already are.

Cheers, John
