Yet amazingly, I can get by okay without a hair dryer on board. No, my hair will not be perfectly coiffed, but generally, even if I do go to the trouble of fixing it at the shore facilities, it gets messed up after a few hours in the breeze anyway. So it doesn't make a lot of sense to fuss with it much. If it gets real bad, I tie it back or clip it up with hair implements. Scunci and Goody to the rescue.

The captain has never complained about my hair not being perfect either, but perhaps he's just being polite.

But to each his/her own. If it takes hair dryer power to get her to come along, then do what you have to do. I'm a lot less bothered by generators if their operation is limited. It's the coffee/cocktail/dinner hours or constant operation when they are most annoying for me.
