comes in various forms...loud voices, electronics, radios, Hondas, etc., etc. It sounds like some of you are only happy if you are alone in an anchorage, and that's fine, but not always possible. I have a Honda and use it when necessary, but during mid-day and never in the evening, night, or early AM. I'm talking about the Bahamas, not a little, quiet, calm NE harbor. Hell, wave and wind noise can be louder than a generator down there. We have a wind generator (AirBreeze) that is very quiet. The concept of rowing about in a calm anchorage doesn't work down there very often. It's a different world. I always get a kick out of seeing a New Englander in the Bahamian anchorages for the first time. They are the ones with the small hard dinghy or small tubed soft bottom inflatable with oars or a 2 HP outboard. The 2 mile dinghy run in 2' chop is always an eye opener for them. So much for calm anchorages.
