I am on-board nearly daily from April to November.. Doesn't hurt that my biggest customer base is in Falmouth/Portland/So. Portland so I am working in the harbor nearly daily and often eat lunch on the boat and go for a sail before heading home.. I perhaps sailed about 4-6 days per week for most of the season, did a 12 day cruise and four 5 day weekends. I sailed less solo this year than last but also did a lot of striper fishing on my brothers boat.. A good benefit of my job is that I also get to sail on lots of customers boats.
My wife cut her schedule back to 4 days per week, no Mondays, so our weekends are pretty much 3 days on the boat, really nice schedule! We did miss a few weekends on the boat but not many. I will have to check the GPS for sure but at last check in early Oct I was at about 1080nm for the season. Much of that was on longer vacations but I seem to add up three to eight miles here and there on solo sails.. Went in on April 16th this year and will do similar next spring. We seem to average between 700 and 1200 nm / year. We did Monhegan three times this summer and that's 300 miles right there we also hit Matinicus and Criehaven... I don't count deliveries and such as those are not our boat... We did see Gail & Randy out quite a bit so I'd be surprised if they did not hit the 900 - 1000 nm range... Going up and down this coast it is kind of hard to not hit at least 700/season..
