We have been to that harbor....

NOT in our own boat.
We would NOT attempt to enter with our 27 foot boat unless I was positive of VERY calm water!!! And at that, our boat is about as big as could fit!!!
That size boat should only try to enter under VERY drastic need! I do not think this took place because he was complacent. It was just a bad decision to try to enter at all.
PLEASE don't flame me, it's just that if you could see that place with your own eyes, you would know a lot more about it.
Having said that, IT IS A MAGICAL island! I am very happy we got to spend time there!
