They were little tiny waves, 1-2 feet, from a wrap around swell. Patti and I each had a hold of a side of the dinghy and the wave pushed it sideways. I intentionally held my leg against it to keep it from flipping and hitting Patti as well as dunking our 4 stroke motor. I knew I nroke it but some local guy helped us push it out past surf line so we left. I didn't want to blow my window around Punta Mala so I didn't sail back to Panama City. We sailed 8 days with 2 overnight stops to Golfito, where I fianlly got an x-ray. We had made a splint with sail battens until I got a cast. It was the worst cast I ever had so the dr here told me to cut it off and stay in bed for a week. I think after my week is up I'll go up to San Jose and get me a fibreglass cast. I don't want to rebreak it.
