We hadn't been planning on a K/CB, but most of the Sabre 34s for sale when we were looking were such. Research showed that Sabre had built a lot of them and there were few if any problems. Once in a while, draft matters, and so we went for one. As Tom said, the difference is usually subtle. We put it down when beating and pull it up on the run. The first time we lowered it, heasding to Maine, it was like adding a turbo. Other times we've tacked our way out without it and not missed the extra three feet. And a lot easier to climb aboard when on the hard!
