I don't agree on the opinion of a cruising guide though(think ad supported print). I think I get a sense of what the writer likes and can relate, or not, to their opinion where as a stranger,... who knows.

But then again, the print cruising guide may be going the way of the DoDo, very soon. This format(AC) or similar, may be the new cruising guide.
