If you do the Abacos first, everything after that will be better. If you do the Exumas, out islands, etc. first then you will be so disappointed with the Abacos you'll either think about going back to an island you already visited or be looking for a way to get out of the Abacos and on to some other and better place.

We had been to the Bahamas a number of times but never made it to the Exumas until our last trip north. Should have gone back to the Exumas or any place other than the Abacos.

Saying that we didn't like the Abacos would be an understatement. A Holiday Inn in Ft. Lauderdale would have been better. (OK, maybe not.)
