Those fiberglass cutoff wheels work well on steel too.

I'd use one of those on the mast track. Fairly easy to keep steady if you have something to brace against and it will go quick.

- I thought so also but a Dremel is a bit small.

- I'm old tech and would try to use a drill and metal hack saw blade.
- Use a router, but make a jig so it CAN NOT get out of control
- Router with a guide and a carbide end mill.
- You can get an attachment for a Dremel
