Below decks autopilots
In Response To: Damn, 'French Kiss', our friends boat, lost at Fort Pierce Inlet. ()
If yours would not respond to commands and would not physically disengage from the rudder post, how long would it take you to regain control of your steering? That's a question that gives me pause at times.
BTW: Any serious injuries to the captain or crew of French Kiss?

- 'Dock and Go' locked up the onboard computer and couldn't be overridden
- they couldn't turn it off and go manual?
- The Jeaneau computerized system had 18 out of 18 failures in it's similar system.
