Damn, 'French Kiss', our friends boat, lost at Fort Pierce Inlet.
'Dock and Go' locked up the onboard computer and couldn't be overridden
they couldn't turn it off and go manual?
Nope!
IF its the same as the Jeaneau (or similar), you have to turn-off the power and reboot the "computer".
Terrifying! So it docked itself, onto the rocks?
They were in the middle of a reboot but it's 4 minutes.
Insane. For 4 minutes the boat does what it wants? There's no way to stop it?
No master battery switch?
The Jeaneau computerized system had 18 out of 18 failures in it's similar system.
They were headed out.
My view is the Beneteau should make this right cause it's defective and unreliable; but,
