I don't know the captain, but I recognize the name... I've had a look at his resume, the guy is HUGELY experienced, obviously as well qualified as anyone out there, in both sail and power... that's a bit of a rarity, as I'm sure you know, most captains specialize in one or the other, not both... If HE was unable to manage this situation, I can't imagine what the typical owner of one of these boats would have done... Really sorry for your friend, what an incredibly stupid way to lose a boat...

Say, looking thru the pics in the listing, that boat in the background of the one taken at her dock looks vaguely familiar, no? (grin)
