Marine grade Plywood?

I just saw this on the net... is it true?

Quote:
Marine grade ply uses the SAME glue as construction EXTERIOR ply you can buy at home depot.

Marine grade ply was designed for ONE thing: BENDING

Marine grade ply has solid interior cores, so when you bend the board - like making the bend in the guhwhal around to the stem, or making a reverse curve to the chime from the keel on the bottom of the boat - the solid cores keep the sheet from cracking. If the inner cores have a void, when you bend it, the void will close and begin to crack the inner core.

If you are NOT using the ply to BEND, then do not buy Marine grade. Buy a sheet of ACX from ANY Home Depot type place. It has an "A" side - very pretty, and will make your transom, bulkhead, floor - anything FLAT.
