As Charlie and Todd mention, the marine ply is better quality. More plys, no voids, better thicker face veneer. Even Marine Fir AC is better quality than the regular Fir AC I buy. It usually has more plys and better material. Because of the extra plys, it will take a better, fairer even more agressive turn than regular ply.

And Home Depot has the worst building materials on the planet.
