() I just bought a 60 gallon upright air compressor for the new shop. I asked the owner of the local Ace Hardware if he wanted to sell it to me. Without any haggling he gave me a price that was within a couple bucks of the Lowes and Home Depot prices. Same with the local chandlery. He's always had very competitive prices on big ticket items like inflatable dinghies and electronics.

- No, most US plywood is junk, good for houses only.

- Either one, but HD is worse. I buy at a REAL lumber yard, and last I bought, was actually cheaper
