What with the new and quickly changing gear, processing programs, printers, I think for the pro photographer today, the whole process has not gotten any easier to get the shot that sells. If anything, it may be more difficult to be competitive.

        Film aside, do you see your dig SLR easier to use than your film SLR?
        
        Harder. My Elan 7e had eye-controlled focus.
        Guys, the arguements are rather moot...
        
        It is moot, today. Post processing digital; that's my next educational step.
        
        Back in the days of film, I used to shoot a lot of black and white
        
        Same here... had a darkroom setup that went into the 2nd bathroom...
        
        I have boxes of negatives!
        
        Dodging and burning with fingers worked a lot better than the digital tools.

        I've used all these
        
        Typical builders own home Smoke detector installation.
        
        I now use a Nikon D700 for more 'serious' stuff...
        
        nice shot... reminds me... how many here have good shots of dolphins at play...

        Too true! A craftsman can really produce with nail guns.
        
        Heh. When I did major remodel on my house I used zero nails, everything is screws, even the siding.
        
        Building inspectors don't like screws..
        
        I was once almost fired for doing good work.
