When you're rolling 35 or 70mm film with a whole crew

You better get if right or you just wasted a lot of time and even more money. The cost per minute of film is measured in a LOT of money.

That's without the issue when the "moment' you're trying to capture is irretrivable (i.e., the sun, the light, the event, etc. can't be "done over".)

With a still camera, black and white film, and a large format -- you have more chances than with color, in my expreience. When you have slide medium you got pretty much what you got.

To me, with digital still shots, I seldom have one what I don't tweak with photoshop to balance, adjust the contrast, etc.
