I had understood the navy can and does still use TBT? Have they switched to Copper now? Been out of touch

with military usage for some years now.

I know I used the very last can of TBT outboat paint time before last. The "NEW" stuff will be scummed over in less than a month- But we can still use high copper ablative here, thankfully. I also hauled in North Carolina the time before this, and had no trouble getting or using high copper ablative there either.

And I agree- I want clean water too- I spend a LOT of time on and in it. But I really don't think our boats are doing all that much, compared.

Another point- I am very very pleased with the state of pump out facilities now, compared to when I cruised before, in the early 80s. I know Boot Key Harbor was a helluva lot cleaner (with 460 boats in there) in 2010, and a pumpout boat, than it was in 1982, with maybe 100,, and zero pump out facilities.

Too bad the agricultural runoff hasn't improved though- LIke big sugar in the Keys??
